Zips Car Wash

Motor Speedway

Zips Car Wash wanted to help its team shine just as bright as its cleanest cars. So they came to us with a training challenge: how do you coach soft skills like body language in a way that sticks? Our answer? Bring the racetrack to the breakroom with a fast-paced, funny, and engaging training experience.

Start Your Engines

We ditched the slide decks and leaned into the pit crew personality of the Zips brand. Enter the Train to Win Grand Prix—a fictional race narrated by our dynamic announcing duo, Dash Landry and Slick Willoughby. Through their commentary, we pitted seasoned associate Fast Track Tracy against lovable rookie Suds Carruthers, showing how great body language leads to better guest experiences—and wins.

Interactive in Every Lane

Racers (aka trainees) sped through this course with animated scenes, “pit stop tips,” and a colorful breakdown of good vs. bad body language. We highlighted Zips’ GUEST standards and delivered easy-to-remember behaviors in a format that was more like Saturday morning cartoons than corporate training.

Training Flythrough

The story unfolded like a sports broadcast, with our racers’ actions providing teachable moments in every lap. A glossary of gestures, visual jokes, and clear comparisons made it easy for team members to connect the dots between posture and performance. Key takeaways like “lean in,” “keep arms open,” and “smile with your eyes” were reinforced with humor and clarity throughout.

The Checkered Flag

Zips associates walked away from the training knowing that good body language isn’t just a bonus—it’s a major key to customer satisfaction. By giving staff memorable tools they could immediately apply on the job, the training left a lasting impression.
